Recently the amazing Vintage & Modern website featured me as a V & M inSIDER and I couldn’t be more thrilled – this site rocks! You can get anything from a spankn’ new Eames Rocker to an Italian mid-century chandelier to a vintage Cartier cuff! Shop in style for furniture, art, jewelry, fashion and even luxury travel offers.
This brilliant concept got me thinking about “Vintage Modern” as a genre of design. It’s a term that has been tossed around for a few years, but what is it exactly? For me, it represents how we are living today; embracing the creativity of a new generation while coveting the classics. Antiques and repurposed pieces bring soul to the home while black-painted wood floors and lucite chairs bring the energy. It makes sense this aesthetic would evolve with a culture that has balance and sustainability in mind.
Below are just a few items from the V &M site that I am obsessed with! Take a peek and let me know which ones you can’t live without.
Happy shopping friends!
Love always,
Alison
